AMERICAN WOMEN

"American Women" is an audaciously heartwarming and hilarious evening of monologues and short pieces about the female gender. Some of the ladies you will meet include Eve, making her first public appearance since the Garden of Eden; Joanne, a guilt-ridden women who is confronted by a ghost from her past; Madame Silvy, a psychic who's having visions of Russell Crowe; and Courtney, Wanda and Pam, three gals who always look for love in all the wrong places. The evening is written and directed by Elias Stimac, with special material by Richard Bishoff and Maritza Puello, and runs August 13-17 at 8 pm. - $15

SPIC CHIC - Written by Luis Chaluisan

Directed by Petronia Paley Spic Chic © 2002 is about the adventures of one peculiar Puerto Rican. The show features vignettes that include meeting the original poets of the Nuyorican Poets café; an expose of drugs and terrorism at Amherst College; a bizarre confrontation with the KKK while working as a television reporter; neighborhood conspiracy theories about the Twin Towers attack; and the effort of a one legged pistol packing former call girl to save her marriage with a bank robbery.
